Ignore the advice that tells you to niche down. Do this instead...
Everyone says, “Pick one thing and become known for it.”
But here’s what actually works: Build at the intersections.
The most interesting people I follow on LinkedIn are not one-dimensional experts.
Yes, they’re known in the industry as someone to trust.
They’re the product manager who also understands design psychology.
Engineers who write about leadership.
Marketers who are obsessed with data science.
Because real problems don’t live in neat categories.
When you combine two or three areas of expertise, you create something rare. There are thousands of marketing experts. Thousands of AI enthusiasts. But how many people deeply understand both marketing and AI and behavioural psychology?
That’s where the magic happens.
Hot Take 🔥
Your “niche” isn’t about narrowing down to one thing; it’s about finding your unique overlap. We use the Purpose model in our training to help find this.
The place where your different skills and interests collide in a way that nobody else can replicate.
Stop forcing yourself into a box. Start exploring where your interests meet.
That’s the secret to being irreplaceable and standing out.
What’s your unique overlap? Would love to hear what intersections you’re building at.
Steal my Strategy 👀 The secret strategy I’ve used to grow to 18k followers on LinkedIn
I’ve been posting consistently on LinkedIn for the last 2 years.
I’ve written 100’s of posts for incredible founders and business owners.
I’ve reviewed countless LinkedIn profiles.
There is a secret strategy the best creators are using right now on LinkedIn to grow an engaged audience.
Want to know what it is?
You need to do what 99% of people are not doing on LinkedIn.
Here’s exactly how you can do this:
1️⃣ Want to be in the top 50%? Simply have a complete LinkedIn profile.
When you’re thinking about building your personal brand on LinkedIn, you want to think about your profile as a landing page. It’s where people will go when they want to be nosey about what you do. You need to grab their attention and make it clear what you do and who you help.
P.S. Don’t forget to add a Featured section with links to your website, newsletter or portfolio to maximise impact!
2️⃣ Want to be in the top 10%? Use the platform as a connection tool
The biggest mistake most people make on LinkedIn is being a lurker. Even if you don’t feel ready to post content yet, you can be engaging with others to build genuine connections.
Don’t just engage for the sake of it; add value. Send DMs, get on coffee calls and create real connections. You never know what doors it might unlock.
3️⃣ Want to be in the top 1%? Post good content every week
Did you know less than 1% of LinkedIn users post consistently? It’s not hard to stand out if you are sharing story-led content that stops the scroll.
Start by understanding who you are writing for, who your ideal client is, and how your content can connect with them.
Then commit to show up consistently and watch things start to happen!

Founder Diaries 📓 My business evolved, and I got lost, here’s how I found clarity
Do you ever feel like something is off?
That feeling when something doesn’t feel right, but you can’t put your finger on what it is.
That’s exactly how I’ve felt for the last six months.
After building Studio Self-Made for the last 4 years, I had watched my business evolve into something beyond my wildest dreams.
From winning awards,
Getting my own office,
Being invited to Downing Street,
Taking on my first full-time team member,
Mentoring 50+ founders to build their personal brand
And so much more.
I’d watched my idea turn into something that was making a real impact.
But as the idea developed and more opportunities came my way, the core of the business started to get diluted.
I had more services than I could keep track of.
Different price points for different clients.
And I felt like I was constantly behind on my goals because I was stretched too thin.
Until last week, when everything clicked into place.
If you’ve read last week’s episode, you know we defined our mission: To help 100,000 underrepresented founders build their personal brands to attract opportunities.
Reminding myself of the vision I had for Studio when I started made everything in the business so much clearer.
I needed to simplify my offers and focus on what I really want to do.
Studio Self-Made is the home of our learning programmes, where we work with brands to sponsor our Creator-Founder Accelerator - designed to turn scaling founders into creators.
Lucky Founders is the place for all of our services to support our founders directly. Think mentoring, branding support and strategy all in one place (and our brand new club is coming soon - you’re going to want to get on the waitlist for this!)
Both of our websites have had a massive glow-up, too, so go check them out!
When you find that clarity, it feels like such a relief.
And it allows you to attract the opportunities that are right for you.
I’m curious, can you relate? When did you get your ah-ha moment in your business?
